The quake hit the Lesslie area in York County, which is just under two hours from Greenville County. It was reported as a depth of 2 kilometers. The earthquake was located near Lesslie, 3.4 miles east of Rock Hill, and 6 miles south of Fort Mill.

LESSLIE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said an earthquake was reported in South Carolina on Tuesday.

According to the USGS, the 2.2 magnitude quake hit the Lesslie area around 3:02 a.m. It had a depth of 2 kilometers.

Officials said the earthquake was 2.2 miles north northwest of Lesslie which is in York County. It was also 3.4 miles east of Rock Hill and 6 miles south of Fort Mill.

Lesslie is just under two hours from Greenville County.
