Arrest documents reveal wild accusations about an East Charlotte couple. Gabriel Santos Funes and Maria Valladares are facing multiple charges including child abuse. A neighbor reported that Gabriel Santos Funes and Maria Valladares, a 34-year-old man and woman from East Charlotte, North Carolina, were performing "black magic rituals" at a home on Mahogany Drive. The 911 caller reported that the couple were burning things, screaming, and experiencing paranoid psychosis. When officers arrived, they found a scene with shell casings, broken items, and blood droplets on the front porch. They also found Valladare with bruises and Santos Fune covered in sweat. Both are facing multiple charges including child abuse and a domestic violence charge. The couple has been kicked out of the house and are being held at the Mecklenburg County detention center.
