Reward increased to $25K in unsolved Gastonia murder case
Johnny Lee Moore was shot and killed during a home invasion in July 2021. The case remains unsolved. North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein is offering a reward up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of John Luke Moore, also known as Johnny Lee, who was shot and killed during a home invasion in 2021. Moore was a beloved Gastonia barber who was described as selfless and a trusted confidant for customers and friends. The case remains unsolved. This is not the first time a reward has been offered for information into Moore's death. The family announced a $5,000 reward on the third anniversary of his death, followed by an additional $2,000 in November 2024.
